Sept. 21, 2011 — Inns and B&Bs throughout the U.S. and Canada will honor veterans by opening their doors with complimentary stays on November 10, 2011, in observance of Veteran’s Day. In an effort within the lodging industry to honor veterans, inns and B&Bs are expected to offer free stays to thank veterans for their service to their country.
Davies House Inn Georgetown is proud to participate in B&Bs for Vets. “We are delighted to offer free rooms to vets and their guest” said Jan Davies McDermott, Owner and Innkeeper of Davies House Inn Georgetown in Ann Arbor, MI.
Jay Karen, President and CEO of the Professional Association of Innkeepers International, said, “Last year several thousand vets with their families and companions were honored with complimentary stays at inns and B&Bs and this year B&B owners hope to honor even more,” finished Karen.
Veterans interested in reserving a room on November 10 are asked to contact the Davies House Inn Georgetown at www.davieshouseinn.com or by calling 888 203 4443. Proof of military service will be requested, and all policies of the inn will be enforced for free stays.
For other participating Inns, the Vet should contact the inn or B&B where they wish to stay. Other inns and B&Bs participating in the U.S. and Canada are listed at http://www.bnbsforvets.org or http://www.bbcanada.com/bbforvets.
